I Think You Should Know....

It's December again
  Snow is coming down
One more year's come and gone
And nothing's changed at all
Wasn't I supposed to be someone
Who can face the things that I've been running from...

Let me feel, I don't care if I breakdown

Let me fall, even if I hit the ground
And if I...
Cry a little
Die a little
At least I know I lived, just a little...

I've become much too good at being invincible

I'm an expert at play it safe, and keep it cool
But I swear this isn't who I'm meant to be
I refuse to let my life roll all over me...

Let me feel, I don't care if I breakdown

Let me fall, even if I hit the ground
And if I...
Cry a little
Die a little
At least I know I lived, just a little...

I wanna be somebody

I, I wanna be somebody
I wanna be somebody
I, I wanna be somebody who can face the things that I've been running from

Let me feel, I don't care if I breakdown

Let me fall, even if I hit the ground
And if I
Cry a little
Die a little
At least I know I lived...

It's December again

snow is coming down
One more year's come and gone
And nothing's changed at all

I have been watching the One Tree Hill episodes over again and this song was on the episode I watched tonight.  It kind of reminded me of how this year has been.  I really liked the lyrics, I tend to put myself out there with things that I am really passionate about and most of the time I regret it because it almost always gets me into trouble or I get burned, but maybe it is because I have been looking at it the wrong way, yeah; I will cry a little, yeah; maybe I will die a little, but at least I know I lived.

Change in Scenery

A change in scenery can have such a handle on my mood. I always believe that the different lighting in a room can tamper if I am happy or gloomy.  My life has been filled with so much change in scenery over the past few months and that is why coming home has been a very nice reminder that I always have somewhere to fall back on filled with people that will always and forever love me. A few days ago, on the eve of Christmas day, I could not seem to fall asleep. My heart was filled with gratitude for how blessed my life is and how lucky I am.

*Almost half the world — over three billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day.
*At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day.
*Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names.
I am lucky. In all definitions of that word, I know that I am living a better life than more than half of the world.  No matter how bad the day is, how big the trouble or how dramatic the drama, it really puts it into perspective of how lucky I got to grow up where I did, to receive the many gifts I have in my lifetime.  The spiritual and the physical ones.  Just the ability to have an education which I have always taken for granted is not an option for the majority of the children in this world or more so even the option to wear shoes. The blessings in comparison to those less fortunate are endless.

Proverbs 28:27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

with these fortunate circumstance I am trying to gratefully live in, it is my job to more than entertain the idea of helping others.  "because I have been given much I too must give." This year brought me the true meaning of Christmas. I hope I can always remember this well learned lesson of charity and divine gratitude for my fortunate circumstance. Love Life.

I Shall Believe

Lord make me a rainbow, I’ll shine down on my mother
She'll know I’m safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh and
Life ain't always what you think it ought to be

I can think of many reasons why I might have been inspired to start a blog. Maybe it is because there is so much value to each day we get the option and there pleasure to live on this earth, in this life, with these people; people that care about us...We all have them in some way or another. I happen to be very grateful for mine.  Maybe this is one of the ways I can show them how thankful I am to be so blessed as to lead such an enriched life that is over flowing with memories and opinions.

A penny for my thoughts, oh no I’ll sell them for a dollar. They're worth so much more after I’m a goner

No time like the present, so I start now, before any more time is wasted.  Journals, Facebook, Pictures, Blog.  All a form of documentation.  I wanna leave a mark on at least one persons life through at least one experience that I share honestly. I hope someone can remember the lesson I learned from a certain experience and not have to do it the hard way. This is why we were all thrown together,  to help each other take shortcuts when the burden is heavy, and there is no happy ending in sight. Love life...
